Part of the book series: Advances in Polymer Science ((POLYMER,volume 42))

Abstract

Studies concerning the following problems are reviewed;

  1. 1.

    Influence of the cellulose structure and of the chemical structure of the grafted polymer on the kinetics of graft copolymerization of cellulose, on the composition, and the structure of the cellulose products.

  2. 2.

    Kinetics of chemically initiated graft polymerization onto cellulose and its peculiarities connected with the heterogeneity of the process.

  3. 3.

    Specificities of grafting in the heterogenious medium and use of some effects in technology.

  4. 4.

    Basic trends in the development of the commercial process of graft polymerization on cellulose.

  5. 5.

    Polymer-analoguous conversion of polymer chains grafted to cellulose.
