Much of the discussions and concepts contained in this section are based upon real systems and experiments conducted by associates of the author. Rather than rewrite these experiments, the authors of the papers describing the experiments allowed the author to excerpt material and descriptions. For this a very substantial debt of gratitude is owed to L. D. Anderson, T. O. Wolff, L. J. Schlecta, B. R. Manning, and R. C. DeWard for permission to use their works.
