Abstract
The article outlines our current understanding of the multiple relaxations observed in crystalline and amorphous solid polymers, as studied using dielectric techniques. An attempt is made to interpret the relaxations of amorphous polymers in a unified way, independent of the details of chemical structure, by use of the time-correlation function approach to partial and total relaxations. In addition, the recent studies of polymers of medium and high degrees of crystallinity are reviewed.
