Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Physics ((LNP,volume 87))

Abstract

In this talk I will briefly examine the recent, mainly experimental, developments that have occurred in the field of lepton scattering. The interest in this domain results from the fact that the electromagnetic form factors (particularly the monopole charge form factors) provide us with the most detailed and cleanest information on the nuclear wave function. The small radius, high density region of nuclei can be investigated, a most interesting region that is not accessible to reactions employing strongly interacting probes.
