Abstract

This paper presents a partial survey of the importance of three-nucleon systems in nuclear physics. The main emphasis is on the relevance of three-nucleon systems as a source of information on two- and three- nucleon forces, on meson exchange currents in electromagnetic and weak interactions and on the nuclear interactions of pions.
