Abstract
On envisage le problème (P) suivant : Reconstruire à. partir de données de type spectral l'opérateur aux différences L, qui est l'analogue discret de l'opérateur de Sturm -Liouville.
Dans un premier temps on emploie la théorie des polynomes orthogonaux pour obtenir et décrire d'une manière élémentaire la mesure spectrale de L. On rappelle alors que la connaissance de celle-ci est suffisante pour résoudre le problème (P).
On montre ensuite que dans certains problèmes inverses discrets envisagés par Anderson, Hochstadt, Hald on sait déterminer la mesure spectrale et par suite reconstruire l'opérateur. Ce point de vue permet d'unifier et de généraliser les résultats obtenus par les auteurs précédemment cités.
On obtient en particulier une interpretation de deux suites entrelacées comme les spectres d'une même expression aux différences associées à deux systèmes de conditions aux limites ; on obtient également l'interprétation d'une suite comme le spectre d'un opérateur vérifiant certaines propriétés de symétrie. On examine aussi quelques questions concernant la stabilité, et on donne pour terminer quelques résultats numériques dun algorithme simple et efficace.
