Abstract

As Michael Polyani has written, “all theory is a kind of map.” Thus we are left in the situation of mapping the map. We are at least setting up conditions for a highly complimentary of interactivist relationship between map and territory when dealing with the conceptual realm. An ecotype map is characterised by the surroundings it inhabits. It can be divided into Logical Types, as described above, as levels in the drawing rather like a palimpsest. Different levels develop distinct physiological characteristics in response to a specific environment which persist even if a level is moved to a different environment.
