Zusammenfassung
Hauptverantwortlich für die Lösung der komplexen Rehabilitationsprobleme in der Rehabilitation von Karzinompatienten ist das interdisziplinäre Rehabilitationsteam unter Führung eines in Rehabilitation spezialisierten Facharztes, wobei dieses Team dem Patienten und seinen Angehörigen hilft, Funktionen und Aktivitäten zu verbessern und möglichst selbständig mit der chronischen Erkrankung am Privat- und Berufsleben teilzuhaben. Der Einsatz verschiedenster Rehabilitationsmaßnahmen richtet sich nach dem individuellen Zustandsbild (Karzinomentität, individueller Krankheitsverlauf, allgemeine und spezifische Probleme, Begleiterkrankungen), und die Rehabilitation kann restorative, supportive, palliative und präventive Zielstellungen haben.
