Conclusion
Ce chapitre pose davantage de questions aux gynécologues, qu’il n’amène de réponses formelles à une réelle problématique. Comme nous l’avons montré, on n’assiste pas en France, pour l’acte de dépistage qu’est le frottis cervical, à l’explosion de plaintes en responsabilité constatée outre-atlantique depuis une décennie. Est-ce parce que la prise de conscience a été prémonitoire et que les laboratoires de cytologie ont entamé une démarche-qualité précoce?
Quels qu’en soient les motifs, il faut insister sur l’importance d’une communication claire, tant avec le cytologiste sollicité, afin qu’il puisse bien différencier les actes de dépistage des prélèvements orientés, qu’avec les patientes qui doivent garder à l’esprit les objectifs et les limites de l’examen de dépistage qui leur a été proposé.
