Abstract

The need for endovascular management of upper and lower limb venous pathology is less common than that for arterial disease. However, upper or lower extremity deep venous thrombosis may be associated with serious adverse consequences unless adequately treated. In this chapter an approach to the management of the more unusual venous conditions of primary subclavian-axillary vein thrombosis and May-Thurner syndrome will be described, based on clinical evidence. The management of superior vena cava obstruction with its consequent immense clinical benefit will also be discussed. Clinicians should become aware of the diagnostic and treatment options for these important conditions.
