Abstract
High-frequency ultrasound is the imaging modality of choice for the evaluation of scrotal disorders. Infrequently, scrotal ultrasound may demonstrate a non-palpable lesion which may be detected incidentally during the examinations performed for indications such as scrotal pain, infertility, and trauma. Although most intratesticular masses are malignant, benign lesions can also occur within the testes. In the appropriate clinical setting, familiarity with the imaging features of various benign scrotal disorders may allow a prompt and accurate diagnosis thus helping to salvage the testis.
