Abstract
This article presents Conqueries, an agent that assists users during their searches on search engines. The system recommends terms and modifiers to users so that they can reformulate their queries. The system unobtrusively learns the user’s current needs in order to propose personalized lists of keywords. The article presents the design and the architecture of Conqueries which has been implemented and describes the current version which has been used for almost a year.

Keywords
These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
