Abstract.
The Extreme Universe Space Observatory EUSO is the first Space mission devoted to the exploration of the outermost bounds of the Universe through the detection of the Extreme Energy Cosmic Rays and Cosmic Neutrinos ( > 5 x 1019 eV). EUSO will do astronomy by looking downward, from the International Space Station ISS, at the Earth Atmosphere which acts as a detector for the Extensive Air Showers induced by the Primary particles, exploiting the UV fluorescence signal excited in the air. The “EUSO detector” has a geometrical factor of several hundreds thousands km2 sr and a target mass of the order of 1012 tons [1-3].
