Summary
This section was created to show how to start combining the techniques in Maya together so that automatic effects can be created and how some attributes can be used to drive other effects and attributes. This all means that there are fewer levers to animate and can concentrate on creating the core animation or effects work. This tends to replicate the way that Maya organizes itself in terms of interconnected nodes all containing their own attributes that are then used to drive or pass messages to other attributes in other nodes. There really is no end to the amount of items that could be placed into this scene, but the amount of work and animation that would need to be done would start to increase exponentially, compared to the final effect in the rendered frames. This is where the ability to interlink and connect different nodes and effects comes in useful. All that is left to include in the scene is the actual monster that emerges from the darkened doorway.
