Abstract

We embrace our studio as a place for the study of an art; accordingly, each project we take on becomes a unique inquiry into architecture as a cultural expression. We find inspiration in popular culture, local craft, and abstraction, and believe that architecture is in a constant process of producing and reproducing social relationships. Through our work, we try to tap into these relationships in order to create something unexpected and refreshing. If architecture can establish a dialogic relationship with its users, receiving and creating meaning, then it can be a cultural expression affirming its relationship to the community in which it serves.
