Abstract

Large-scale implantation of advanced collaborative networks depends on the availability of transparent, easy to use and affordable “plug-and-play” ICT infrastructures. In spite of the fast progress of the so-called Internet technologies, a large number of challenges still remain open, both at the level of the horizontal infrastructures and the support services required for various types of collaborative forms.
