Abstract
Spent fuel management strategy in the UK has developed to meet the needs of the nuclear industry over the last fifty years. The strategy has responded to political and economic influences and advances in technology, engineering and fuel design. This paper describes previous and current facilities which have been constructed to deal with spent nuclear fuel across the UK industry.
