Abstract

This chapter illustrates rare appearances in the regional press of Strasbourg Observatory around the beginning of the 20th century. The particular cases discussed are the Observatory inauguration in 1881, a fireball triggering some 150 letters addressed to the Observatory in 1904, and bright comets around 1910.
