Abstract
A relatively new research direction in mobile robotics concerns the communication technology for the control mobile robots in conjunction with other devices or between a team of mobile robots. This paper describes an approach for the remote control of a mobile robot using Bluetooth communication. Aspects regarding Bluetooth technology, architecture and components of the mobile robot developed are presented. Software for Bluetooth communication and a virtual environment in which the operator may create a path for robot are also presented.
