Abstract

Visualization in virtual environment is the use of computer graphics to create visual images that aid in the understanding of various simulation processes. This may be the output of real-time numerical simulation or can be based on pre-recorded data or scenarios. This paper presents two virtual reality interfaces and applications which enables the user to make modifications on various multibody systems, by changing the position and orientation of elements and joints. The modification can be easily followed and evaluated in the virtual environment. In comparison to traditional systems for design reviews, the applications presented shows that user-interfaces can be made more user-friendly with new visualization techniques.
