Abstract
The formal model of Case Study 2 in Chapter 2 was based on dynamic plots, which are the subject of this chapter. Advances in communications and information technologies have promoted the on-line collection and exchange of data within and across organizations. For example, on-line trading, eprocurement, and e-shopping make real-time data about customer behavior easily available. Companies can use these data to decide on optimal business tactics.
