Summary
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that does not automatically remit during childhood or adolescence, but instead leads to long-standing functional difficulties for a significant portion of those affected. While studies of psychosocial treatments for adults with ADHD have only recently appeared, CBT stands as a strong candidate for being able to effectively address the varied needs of this clinical population.
