Conclusion
The priorities and issues evoked in this article are very important for the development of higher education in the Czech Republic. The new context of freedom and decentralised steering of higher education is very demanding as far as good theoretical expertise and relevant research outcomes are concerned. Yet higher education research is underestimated because of our educational heritage. But successful results have been obtained.
An important issue, which has not yet been solved, is education. There are no courses in higher education at any level (undergraduate, postgraduate) and it will be a challenge to introduce this type of studies in the Czech Republic.
