Summary
In this chapter we have begun to see SystemC in action. On the one hand, we have learned how to use SystemC for classical RTL and behavioral-level modeling. On the other hand, through these examples we have gained a better feel for how various SystemC constructs work, such as signals, sensitivity, wait() and wait_until(). We have also examined the rich set of data-types that SystemC provides for hardware modeling. Equipped with this bag of tricks, we are now ready to climb the ladder of abstraction levels further up and explore functional and transaction-level modeling.
