Isolation and characterisation of Arabidopsis mutants related to boron nutrition

  • Chapter
Plant Nutrition

Abstract

We are interested in molecular genetic characterisation of boron nutrition using Arabidopsis thaliana mutants. Here we summarise our current status of mutant isolation and characterisation. We also describe isolation of a novel mutant line #11. This mutant was isolated from mutagenised borI-1 mutant plants. It carries a mutation that allows the plants to set seeds in the presence of the borI-1 mutation under low B supply that does not support seed set in the borI-1 mutant plants.
