Conclusion
The location services provided or soon to be provided by IS95/ CDMA2000 1x cellular operators are based on IS-41 core protocol and can add value to legacy telecom services and emergency services. As the networks evolve toward All-IP architecture, the AAA based protocol will replace IS-41 for service registration and access control. The Open Service Architecture will further stimulate the development of location based applications.
