Study II—The Use of the Family Functioning Assessment with A Clinic Population

  • Chapter
Family Functioning

Part of the book series: Critical Issues in Psychiatry ((CIPS))

Conclusion

In conclusion, we found that we could use the GLS Assessment Instrument successfully with a family mental health clinic population. Also, we were pleased that we could obtain a “neighborhood” control group. In the next Chapter, we present a comparison and summary of the major findings from the research with the different groups, the random sample from the community, the clinic families, and their matched neighborhood controls.
