Summary
In this chapter, we first described and critiqued the method employed in the psychological importance study. We then examined the data for possible gender differences, concluding that, while there were some interesting minor differences in the ratings made by women and men, the high degree of overall similarity warranted the pooling of the gender data in subsequent analyses.
