Electronic Relaxation in Metallic Nanoparticles

Abstract

We present a new method to measure electronic relaxation in gas-suspended nanoparticles with femtosecond accuracy. We do not observe a big enhancement in the relaxation time in metal nanoparticles down to 10 nm diameter.
