Summary and Conclusions
This brief review of experimental attempts to probe and identify the character of the superconducting state of heavy-electron materials should show that there is growing evidence for unconventional features of superconductivity in some of these materials. Although heavy-electron metals and metallic copper oxides are different in many ways, they share the common aspect that both their normal and their superconducting states are still not well understood, i.e., many experimental observations are waiting for their convincing and correct interpretation.
