Abstract

In this paper, the performance of a new hybrid CDMA/TDMA multiuser receiver system is investigated, whereby all average bursty traffic of all active users are transmitted in one slot and the excess user traffic as well as the interactive and data gram oriented traffic are transmitted in a second time slot. Further, the decorrelator multiuser receiver is used to demodulate packets transmitted on the bursty slot and the conventional (single-user) detection on the second slot. The results show the superiority of the proposed approach compared with the conventional system.
