Abstract
Elastic-plastic fluid-saturated porous media with non-associative flow rules may undergo strain localization and flutter. The simultaneous analysis of the nature and evolution of acceleration and harmonic waves has revealed a clear distinction between flutter instability and flutter ill-posedness. We show here that, as for solids, regularization methods may evidence infimum wavelengths below which any of these critical events is excluded.
