Abstract

The nuclear structure of neutron-rich elements, as for instance their beta-decay times, may considerably influence the neutron-capture paths in explosive stellar events. Special care is given in this contribution to the links between nuclear and astrophysics for the synthesis of the stable neutron-rich Ca-Ti-Cr-Fe-Ni isotopes.
