WSN-Based Driver Cabinet Monitoring System for the Fleet of Long-Route Vehicles

As per the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, majority of accident happened in the Indian Highways out of total accidents occurs in India. Road accidents occur due to violation of lot many rules set by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The comparative study of the accidents in 15 states, presented by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, reveals that accidents have comparatively reduced in year 2017 as compared to 2016 but still the decrease is not that drastic. It still needs more attention and monitoring to decrease it to a minimal level. This paper presents a preliminary performance investigation of the WSN-based architecture model for driver cabinet monitoring system for the fleet of long-route vehicles. To developed prototype model, we use various sensors and integrate it using NodeMCU. For transmission of real-time sensor data to various stack holders, we used IOT-based online platform called ThingSpeak.
