Creativity at the Margins in the ‘Golden Age’ of Japanese Cinema (1945–1965)

Abstract

We often think of popular cinema as one of the more accessible creative arts. But where is this creativity located, and how is creativity fostered or suppressed within the cinema industry? For creativity to exist within the creative industries, an industry or workplace must allow that creativity to develop.
