Abstract

I was born in a Karnataka village in 1946, a few months before India’s Independence. My father was a primary school teacher and mother a highly religious house-wife. My father’s first appointment was at a tiny village Hosahalli on the banks of Tunga river at a distance of 6 km from the District center of Shivamogga.
