Thin walled cold formed steel members have broad close attention in building structures. If girders are subjected to the combination of bending, shear, uniformly distributed load, concentrated loads and axial loads. The increasing stability behavior in the design should be taken into consideration.
This paper presents research analysis of the optimal design of cold formed stiffener arrangement under two point loading conditions. Firstly keeping all other parameters constants analysis is carried out for different stiffener arrangements in finite element program ANSYS, secondly analysis result are compared with experimental results. Finally a parametric study was undertaken to determine the different stiffener arrangements on structural behavior of I beam girder.
