Abstract

This chapter describes methods, algorithms, and devices, the use of which in collision avoidance systems (CAS) improves flight safety, especially at low altitudes in the terminal area, and under the conditions of hazardous terrain. The proposed methods implement those most relevant areas of enhancing flight safety that have been reviewed in Chap.  2. Detailed descriptions of the most considered methods are given in [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10].
