Abstract

The events scheduled at the 1936 Popular Olympics go a long way in revealing the intentions of the organizers and what would have been the character of their games. From mass relay races to women’s running events that were far more equal with those of men than those in Berlin, they show a commitment to sport for all. This chapter outlines the events that were planned, their location, and their place in the sporting pantheon of the period.
