Abstract

Today, the healthcare environment has become more technology-oriented. Heart patients are facing a problem of unexpected death because of lack of medical care given to the patient at right time. Thus, patient monitoring is essential to care in operating and emergency rooms, as well as intensive and critical care settings. We propose an IoT-based patient monitoring system which provides an improved health care to people in a more economic and significant sociable manner. In this system, a patient carries a hardware having sensors and android phone application; the sensors sense the different parameters of the patient, and this data is transferred to the cloud of ThingSpeak. System has the cloud record which stores all statistics about patient’s health, and the doctors can prescribe medicine using this information. Continuous monitoring and recording of multiple patients are possible at the same time using our phone application—ProHealth.

IoT-based portable health scrutinization is oriented toward remote technology and the use of IoT for an improved system and does not focus on any kind of medical research. The results shown were examined with patient’s consent and focus on how IoT works according to the proposed idea.
