Abstract

The lesion of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis rapidly spreads. With no timely appropriate treatment, progressive and finally fatal respiratory failure develops. Extrapulmonary diffuse aspergillosis may involve the liver, kidneys, brain, or other tissues, which commonly causes occurrence of death. Pulmonary allergic aspergillosis may induce inflammatory infiltration that is not related to fungal invasion of tissue.
