Abstract

The chapter intends to highlight select theories of Vaiśeṣika which may provide significant inputs for different domains of science in ancient Indian thought. Accordingly, Vaiśeṣika theories of matter and motion along with the concept of chemical action, causation and dream cognition are being discussed in this chapter.
