Chapter

Abstract

The present chapter aims to expound the ethical aspect of Vaiśeṣika philosophy. The Vaiśeṣika system of Kaṇāda primarily deals with the metaphysical aspect but at the same time presents a fairly developed description of ethical issues as will be clear from the following pages. The idea of individual, social as well as universal obligations of human beings has been discussed in Vaiśeṣika philosophy.
