Antibody Titre and the Level of Gamma Globulin in Immune Sera in Cattle
This investigation was carried out on 92 immunizations. The distribution of proteins in the serum was determined by paper electrophoresis.
The results which were obtained in our investigations indicate: (1) that a possible interdependence exists between the level of gamma globulin in serum at the start of immunization, on the one hand, and the antibody titre obtained after immunization, on the other; (2) that there is not, however, any distinct interdependence between an increased level of gamma globulin during the course of immunization, on the one hand, and the antibody titre in serum on the other.
