Analysis of Conditions and Requirements of Sustainable Development
Requirements for sustainable energy development (see Chapter 2) are diverse and can not be formalised, i.e. can not be reduced to a fixed set of quantitative indices. Besides, they are interrelated. For example, preservation of the environment conceived as having a negligibly low energy impact on nature can not be achieved with current and future indices of technologies and scales of energy production and consumption necessary for economic development, primarily in developing countries. Hence, the case in point should be the reasonable (in some sense) balance between the benefit (positive effect) and damage which depend on the specific energy structure and scales of development.
