Abstract
There are two major clinical subgroups of acute pancreatitis:
- (1)
Acute pancreatitis refers to a single episode of inflammation of the pancreatic gland.
- (2)
Relapsing acute pancreatitis which is characterized by recurrent attacks of inflammation.
