Abstract
250. Gibbs measures play a rôle in at least two types of statistical problems:
- 1
Classical statistical problems. One observes an effective field which conforms to a Gibbs measure on a finite subset, V, and one seeks to estimate or to test the parameters of that measure. In our context, this problem is sometimes referred to as the inverse problem We will deal with it in §2
- 2
One can also use Gibbs measures to solve problems where, at first glance, they do not seem pertinent
