Abstract

Prostaglandins (PG) have been suggested to modulate morphine-induced motor actions of the canine intestine. Effects of SA and ASA on the motility of the isolated rat colon, stimulated with the met-enkephalin analogue FK 33–824 (FK) and ACH, were investigated. Intraluminal colonic pressure changes were measured by perfusion manometry in organ preparations, maintained in a standard organ bath.
