Compulsory immunization, or not?

Abstract

Immunization against infectious diseases has provided protection for millions against unpleasant illnesses, serious complications and death. The dilemmas about compulsion are concerned with those issues that have resulted from the very successes of immunization. But because of the decline of whooping cough are not the complications of immunization greater than those of the infection itself? Similar arguments were being put forward before smallpox vaccination was stopped.
