Haematuria

  • R. B. Brown

Abstract

The genitourinary system must be either visualised directly or outlined radiologically in all patients of all ages who present with macroscopic haematuria, or heavy recurrent microscopic haematuria, to determine the cause of the bleeding. Thus neoplasms, calculi, inflammatory and infectious diseases can be detected and treated before further tissue damage or death occurs.
